Tours, Talks and 1:1's

Get me talking about plants and you might regret it!

I love what I do and I'm always delighted when I'm invited to share my passion with others. If you'd like me to speak or demonstrate at your event do get in touch.

Farm tours and visits - We can host groups at the farm with options for refreshments, demos and activities

I also offer 1:1 teaching on floristry and growing

A Bit About Me

Growing has been a part of my life since I was a child, I decided to make my own bonsai when I was 11 - getting books from our local library (long before YouTube was an option!). Throughout an eclectic life of music, teaching and many other jobs to pay the bills, I have always returned to plants and flowers. Working in plant nurseries and florists, I learnt much of what I know along the way and through many many hours of my own research I have specialised my knowledge of cut flowers.

I'm passionate about sustainability and working with nature, this underpins all my choices on the farm. I recently took an IEMA course in Environmental Sustainability Skills for Managers which was really enlightening. I continue to look for ways to reduce our impact and to support biodiversity on the farm as well as sharing our journey to spread the word about sustainable British flowers.

Gardening and growing is the first thing I think of in the morning and the last thing I think of at night - often falling asleep with plans for next year buzzing in my head. After a few very difficult years of Long Covid the farm has been my sanctuary and healer, helping me to build my physical strength and recover emotionally from such a life-limiting illness. I would like to use my experiences to support and encourage others to try gardening, for their health, happiness and enjoyment.
